Executive Chairman

Gaby Magomola

(BCom, MBA)

Mr. Gaby Magomola is an accomplished Businessman, thinker, business activist and author. His experience in Business spans 50 years and cuts across Finance, Energy, Engineering, Aviation, Global Asset Management and Industrial Research.

As one of the first black South Africans to obtain an MBA (1976, in the USA), his career has spanned across several industries in America, Europe and the African Continent.

He has held numerous Directorships, and chaired several organisations and consulted to both the Private and Public sector.

The Executive Chairman of the Group has a deep passion for coaching, mentoring and the development of Black Business in South Africa. He is also a regular thought contributor to several think tanks, government organisations and industry on issues of strategic national importance.

Apart from his role as executive chairman, Mr. Magomola takes a keen interest in the Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives at the firm and also undertakes numerous speaking engagements to motivate young entrepreneurs.

Chief Executive Officer

Sadiq Addae

Pr. Eng. (BSc (Eng.), MBA)

Mr. Sadiq Addae is a Professional Civil Engineer registered with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA). He holds an MBA from the prestigious INSEAD Business School and has over 13 years’ experience in the Engineering, mining and industrial sectors. He also holds postgraduate qualifications in Project Finance from Middelsex university in the UK.

He has led Engineering Consulting and Construction firms as CEO for over a decade. Mr Addae has managerial and executive tenure in strategy, general management, finance and process and operations management.

His technical experience includes the design and construction of engineering services (water and sewer reticulation, roads and storm water) and large-scale industrial buildings for a total construction project value in excess of R500 million. He has done work for large state-owned enterprises including PRASA, the Independent Development Trust (IDT) and the Automotive Industry Development Centre (AIDC) in South Africa.

Additionally, he is a member of the Institute of Risk Management (UK) and the South African Institute of Civil Engineers (SAICE).

Operational team

M Y Addae

(Pr. Eng.)

Mr. M Y Addae is an experienced Professional Engineer with 45 years of experience in broad local and International civil engineering and mining projects.

He was the Project Manager in charge of the Construction of two large dams in West Africa ($360million in Ghana, and $1.6 Billion in Nigeria). His experience spans earthworks mass concrete works, engineering services and structures. In South Africa, he has handled a project portfolio of over R5 Billion Rand.

Mpiliso Mkhwananzi

(Pr.OHS)

Mpiliso has 15 years’ experience in civil engineering and building sectors. He holds several qualifications including a Diploma in Health and Safety management specifically. He is registered with the South African Council for Project and Construction Management Professions (SACPCMP) as a Professional Occupational Health and Safety practitioner (Pr. OHS) – which is exceedingly rare in the industry.

SHERQ plays a central role in all of the company’s operations and activities. Mpiliso is tasked with getting the Sekwati Group SHERQ compliant according to the ISO standards.

Tshepo Mabele

(Pr. Tech. Eng.)

Tshepo holds a B-Tech degree from the Tshwane University of Technology and is a registered professional Engineering Technologist with the Engineering Council of South Africa. He has since gained experience in software design, analysis, and drafting and construction supervision of several structural projects.

He is involved in the selection of economical structural form, design and analysis to limit state, checking layouts for structural correctness, rebar checks and representing the company at project stakeholders’ meetings.
